A Serene Honeymoon Adventure
Hassan and his wife began their journey to the airport, hand in hand. They had told their family they were going on a honeymoon but kept their destination a secret.
A Serene Honeymoon Adventure
A Special Resort
While serving in Port Harcourt, Olamide discovered a lovely resort perfect for vacation. She shared this with Hassan, and he agreed to her wishes.
Journey to the Airport
Their journey to the airport was filled with chit-chat. Their bond was seamless and effortless. Before their marriage, they had created a strong connection and friendship.
Playful Moments
The driver of Hassan’s dad took them to the airport. During their journey, they couldn’t stop talking. They both sat in the back seat while the driver focused on driving.
A Public Display
Hassan tried to kiss her, but she moved away swiftly. “There’s an external person here,” she said, pointing at the driver. “Who cares!” Hassan replied, trying to draw her nearer, but she remained stiff.
Driver’s Interjection
The driver smiled before interjecting. “Madam, don’t worry, I’m not paying attention,” he said, and Hassan grinned. “Can you hear that?” he told his new wife.
Arrival at the Airport
When they got to the airport, the driver dropped them off and returned home. The new couple boarded their flight, and their time in the air was another sweet adventure.
Discovering a Scar
During the flight, Hassan’s foot felt itchy, so he removed his socks. Olamide’s eyes caught a gunshot scar on his leg. She almost screamed.
Concern and Comfort
“What’s this?” Her eyes were filled with concern as she held his leg. He tried to calm her. “It’s nothing,” he replied casually. “Don’t tell me it’s nothing. What’s this big scar?”
Emotional Conversation
“You’ve been through so much because of me,” she cried. “How could my dad do this to you? I can imagine the pain you must have gone through.” He drew her closely and hugged her.
Reassurance
“No, babe, why should you feel guilty? Stop crying, please. This is a sweet moment we should savor. My darling, I love you so much. We’ve surmounted the hurdles, and now we’re together. Always remember that I love you.”
Expressing Love
She nodded her head. “I love you, too. Thanks for not giving up on me. You’re a rare gem. You’ll forever hold a special place in my heart.”
Sweet Adventure
After disembarking from the plane, they hired a taxi to the beautiful resort. The resort was a 20-minute drive from the airport. They arrived a few minutes before Maghrib.
Settling In
They lodged in and settled down. They both sat beside each other on the bed, with Olamide’s head on Hassan’s shoulder. The bond was therapeutic and soothing.
Joining in Prayer
They performed ablution and joined Maghrib and Ishai prayers together. After the prayer, they sat on the bed, staring at each other with passion.
Consummation of Marriage
Their marriage was consummated so passionately and wholesomely. After their sweet adventure, they lay on the bed, facing and smiling at each other.
Love Tripled
“My love for you has now tripled!” he said sweetly, and she shyly covered her face. “Now you’re shy, hun!” he teased, trying to remove her hand from her face.
Sharing Feelings
“Please feel free to tell me anything,” he assured her. “I never knew sex could be pleasurable. The past was brutal,” she began. He kissed her to stop her from continuing.
New Beginnings
“You don’t have to talk about it,” he said while kissing her. “But you said it’s okay to tell you anything,” she replied. “I didn’t know you wanted to share your past experience. Please, it’s us now, and I promise to treat you like the queen you are.”
Trust and Gratitude
“I trust you. I promise to be a good wife. Thanks for being in my life,” she said emotionally. “You’re my dream come true.”
Embracing Love
“I should be the one saying that, Olamide. You’re my dream come true,” he replied, holding her closer.
Sharing Past Mistakes
“I told you not to share your past but then I’m really tempted to share my past with you. Did you know that while I was married to my ex-wife, for the first few weeks of our marriage, I couldn’t help moaning your name while making out with her?”
“Subhanallah!” Olamide was shocked. “How were you so careless?” She slapped his shoulder lightly.
“It was really an unconscious mistake. Your thoughts had taken over my head and heart so much that I wasn’t thinking straight.”
“Subhanallah! That was really wrong of you!” Olamide scolded him.
“I know. Like I said, it was an unconscious mistake.”
“Poor woman! How were you able to curb yourself?”
“It was really messy and embarrassing. She reported me to my family, in a family meeting. She practically called a family meeting on my head.” He laughed.
“It’s not funny, my sweetheart,” Olamide hit him gently.
“I know. It wasn’t funny at the time but it’s funny now.”
“I’m cringing. I could imagine how hurt she must have felt. So what did your family say?”
“They told us to sort it out between ourselves. I couldn’t even own up. I denied it.”
“You denied it?!” Olamide was amazed.
“I couldn’t own up, my darling. To save my face, I had to deny it. Then I made a conscious effort not to repeat the same mistake. Wait a minute, are you really blaming me for moaning your name? Aren’t you the one that charmed me?” He laughed.
“My friend, come off it! Who charmed you? Why should you be with a woman and moan another woman’s name? Even me, I can’t accept it as a woman.”
“It wasn’t my fault, Ola. You were the one that charmed me.”
“You’re not serious,” she laughed. “Why are you repeating that I charmed you? I didn’t charm you. I just afflicted you with love.” She laughed.
He also laughed. “It’s good that you finally accepted that you charmed me,” he said and kissed her lovingly.
Moving Forward
“But on a serious note, sweetheart, you were wrong. Just imagine me moaning your name while with the man I was forced to marry. He would have killed me completely and buried me in a bottomless grave.”
“Shiiiiii!” He covered her lips with his finger. “Please don’t say anything about death. Nothing like that happened and I’m glad I can finally hold you in my arms. After this night, let’s both stop discussing our unpalatable pasts. Let’s dig a hole and bury them so that they’ll never resurface again.”
“Yes, my love! Let’s do that. I want to enjoy life with you to the fullest without thinking about my past.”
“Me too,” he said and kissed her again.
Magical Memories
They enjoyed the most beautiful night together. Their honeymoon continued with lots of amazing and magical memories. They dwelled in each other’s company, morning, afternoon, and night. They ate together while feeding each other. They played sweet games together. They enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the resort center. They had a swell time full of fond gratification.
Unexpected Encounter
A week into their lover’s timeout, they went out of the resort to get something at a nearby mall. As they walked through the aisle, a man approached Olamide swiftly like he wanted to hug her but Hassan quickly blocked him from accessing his wife.
Recognizing an Old Friend
Giving the man a closer look, Olamide exclaimed his name happily. “Adam, is this you!” There was joy in her voice as she looked stunned. “Yes, it’s me,” Adam replied. “I recognized you immediately I sighted you. That’s why I approached you.”
“Who’s he?” Hassan’s voice interrupted the man, sounding a little jealous. “Oh my darling, forgive my manners,” Olamide apologized to her husband sweetly. “His name is Adam. He was Hakeemah’s die-hard wooer when we were in school.”
“My sister?” Hassan was surprised. “Yes, your sister,” Olamide replied.
“Is this Hakeemah’s brother?” Adam asked Olamide. “Yes, he’s Hakeemah’s brother. And my husband,” she said the last sentence proudly with a grin.
“That’s wonderful!” Adam remarked with a smile. “It’s amazing to know that you and Hakeemah have finally become a family. How is Hakeemah doing?”
“She’s fine,” Olamide replied. “That’s good to know. Are you sure she’s fine?” Adam asked, trying to hint at something. “Yes, she’s very fine,” Olamide replied.
“Thank God. Ermmmm .. Can I have her number?” He requested. “I would have to ask for her permission first,” Olamide was responding when Hassan interjected interestedly. “Let me have your number instead,” he said and then pulled Adam aside gently.
A Brief Discussion
The two men discussed briefly. While they were talking, Olamide quickly took a picture of Adam. She intended to show it to Hakeemah to see if she would be interested in Adam.
Collecting Contact Information
After their cursory chatting, Adam walked to the cashier point while Hassan returned to where his wife was standing. “Have you collected his number?” Olamide was curious. “Yes, I have,” he replied with a grin.
“I can see how happy you are. It seems you like him,” Olamide nudged him. “What do you mean by saying I like him? Why should I like a man who nearly jumped on my wife?” “Are you jealous?” “No, I’m jealous,” his response was sarcastic after which he walked briskly away and Olamide hastened up to him.
Protective Jealousy
“Don’t be a petty and jealous lover, my sugar. I’m yours, forever and ever. Besides, the man that just left was your sister’s prospective, why are you now acting up? Shouldn’t you be thinking of how to make it work between him and your sister?” She pouted. “Actually, I think I like him. And I’d like to facilitate his chances with Hakeemah if she found him worthy.”
“Awwwwwww! You’re so sweet and thoughtful.” “But I didn’t like how he wanted to jump on you.” “There you go again! Don’t be too petty, my love. He was only happy to see me and that’s probably because he knew he would get to find out about Hakeemah from me.”
“I understand, my darling. I can’t just help the jealousy. It’s protective jealousy, anyway. I have to keep men off my wife.” “Awwwwwww! Am I not lucky to have a very protective husband?” “Of course you are,” he replied with a grin. “My heart is leaping for indescribable joy!” She grinned from ear to ear.
Enfolded in Love
He held her hand. “Come, let’s go and make payment,” he said as he enfolded her hand in his as they walked to the cashier point. They got to the cashier point and were surprised to see Adam, probably waiting for them.
A Generous Offer
“Your bill is on me,” Adam told them with a smile. “Oh, never mind!” Hassan declined. “I insist,” Adam was adamant. “No, not at all,” Hassan shook his head. “You can’t foot my bill unless you want me to think you’re bribing my acceptance of you.” Hassan teased him with a smile. “No, no, no. It’s not a bribe at all,” Adam shook his head.
A Polite Decline
“If it’s not, then allow me to pay for my own expenses,” Hassan declined jokingly and playfully. “Okay,” Adam shrugged. “Thank you,” Hassan replied and went ahead to make payment.
Meaningful Interaction
Adam still waited for them till they were done. Olamide smiled as she thought that he really meant business. The three of them left the mall together. They departed at the parking lot. Adam also came with an Uber. He hopped in while the couple also entered the Uber that was waiting for them.
Reflecting on the Encounter
“That man is really serious with his mission of hooking my sister. Can you imagine him wanting to pay my bills? Is that not desperation?” Hassan asked his wife. “Coming from a man who took a bullet because of a woman,” Olamide teased him.
Reaffirming Love
“Wow! This one enters. Are you now mocking me?” He rolled his eyes at her. “No, darling. I’m not mocking you. I’m just letting you know how brave you are. Only brave men take bullets for a woman they love. It’s a sign of their strength and not a weakness at all. Your bravery should be studied, my love!” “Awwwwwww! My head is swelling like garri-ijebu,” he was dramatically emotional as he wiped his imaginary tears.
Playful Banter
Olamide nudged him. “Won’t you thank me for praising you?” She pouted. “I thought I deserved the praises. Why should I thank you?” “You’re such a petty man!” She rolled her eyes at him playfully.
“Oya thank you for the praises,” he said, leaping over to kiss her. She pushed him away gently. “We’re in a public vehicle.” “And so what?” He frowned. “Hassan, please go away!” “You mean I should get out of the car?” He asked playfully. “What will I do with you? You’re just a clown.” “Yes, the clown you fell in love with.” “Yes, I can’t even deny it. I fell head over heels in love with you.”
“Awwwwwww! You fell head over heels but I was charmed. I was captivated. I was enamoured. I was enchanted. I was enraptured. I was ensorcelled. I was entranced. I was fascinated. In fact, I am gaga about you.”
Driver’s Interjection
“Ori mi n wu o,” the Uber driver cut in and burst into laughter. “Can you see what you’ve caused?” Olamide nudged her husband. “I didn’t cause anything. I just helped the driver with sweet words to tantalize his wife this evening. Am I wrong, oga driver?” Hassan asked him. “You’re not wrong, Oga. In fact, you’re very right. Iya Bola will collect this evening. I’ll tell her she’s ashanty and erupta.”
Shared Laughter
The driver said and the couple burst into laughter. Hassan spoke amidst laughter. “Oga driver, don’t bust my belle, abeg. It’s not ashanty but enchanted. And it’s not erupta but enraptured,” Hassan corrected him amidst laughter. “Oga, ewo, English is not for everybody. Let me continue to tantalize her with orekelewa, ayomi, idunnu mi,” the driver said, giving up on English.
Romantic Blessings
Hassan and his wife laughed out loud before the former spoke. “That one too is fine. The language of communication doesn’t matter. The most important thing is to keep the fire of love burning,” Hassan replied. “Thank you, Oga,” the driver smiled. “I love your relationship with your wife. Please keep being a romantic husband. May God bless your union.” “Aamin,” the couple replied resoundingly.
