A Love Story: From Wedding Bells to Honeymoon Bliss
A Grand Wedding Celebration
The wedding merriment continued with various programs. As the event progressed, food was served to the guests, allowing everyone to choose their preferred dishes. The formal event eventually concluded, but the merrymaking persisted.
Sharing Joy and Gifts
Families from all sides shared valuable souvenirs with their guests. The event was indeed grand. The couple and their families greeted the invited guests around the event hall. Everyone prayed for them, and their smiles were bright and warm.
A Special Honeymoon Destination
Jabir fulfilled his plan of taking his wife to a special tourist center in Port Harcourt. His friend, Habeeb, helped take the bride’s belongings to the apartment while Jabir whisked his wife away. He also arranged for Amirah’s younger sister to stay with her during his absence.
Departure for the Honeymoon
After Asr, they left the wedding venue. Jabir had already bought a flight ticket for 5:00 pm. They arrived at the airport, completed all necessary protocols, and finally boarded the plane.
A Romantic Flight
Inside the plane, they sat together and chatted warmly. “It’s good to finally have the wedding feast done with,” he grinned. “Alhamdulilah RabilAalamin!” she was grateful to God. “Alhamdulilah!” he echoed. “Now there’s no hiding place for you.” “Leave me o,” she replied shyly.
Playful Banter
“Nee! Nee! Nee! Nee! Nee! Nee! Nee!” he began to play with her name. “What’s the meaning of this? Are you a baby?” she smiled. “Yes. I’m a baby. I feel like a baby right now because I’ve finally got my heart’s desire. I’ve finally married Nee!”
Expressions of Love
He kissed her forehead, and to his surprise, she also kissed his forehead. “Awwwwwww! My wife is no longer shy,” he stared sweetly at her. “I was never shy,” she replied with a bright smile. Then her eyes caught the scar on his forehead. She touched it gently.
Curious Concerns
“I’ve been meaning to ask. What happened to your forehead?” “I had a home accident,” he replied simply. “How can that be? Were you sleepwalking?” “It just happened,” he replied, not wanting to elaborate. “Sorry. You should be more careful next time!” she empathized.
A Heartfelt Promise
“Thank you, MINE. I’ll be very careful next time. And with you by my side, my safety is assured by the mercy of Allah.” “May Allah protect us from harm,” Naila prayed. “Aamin,” he replied.
Responding to Promises
“Mine, you promised to respond to the messages in my diary, but I’ve not seen anything,” she pouted. “I’m sorry. I’ve been busy with the wedding preparations. Can I respond verbally instead of writing?” “Ermm … Okay. You’re free to respond verbally,” she replied.
A Romantic Narrative
“Dear Naila,” he began, staring at her. “The day I found you, I found my soulmate. I felt a strange connection instantly. The day was Saturday, the 5th of August.” “You still remember the exact day?” she was amazed. “Yes, I remember.”
A Walk Down Memory Lane
“The day was Saturday, the 5th of August. I had just gotten a job. Allah used my first class as a vessel for me to get a job quickly. The company was near my dear friend Hamzah Adamson’s house, and he offered me accommodation. I had not been there for an hour when I heard a distress noise. I insisted on knowing, and Hamzah told me it was his stubborn sister, Nee. I offered to talk to her, and Hamzah obliged after a little hesitation. Then we went to her room, and alas! I met my wife.”
Growing Affection
“Awwwwwww! You’re a good storyteller,” she swooned. “Please continue!” “Her eyes were swollen from excessive weeping, and I felt pity for her. I began to talk to her and realized she wasn’t dull. There was an unpleasant story behind her refusal to go to school. After listening, I felt the urge to protect her forever. My affection for her grew, partly because she reminded me of my godmother, Alhaja Oriire, and partly because she was a likable person with beauty and brains.”
Overcoming Challenges
“Yes, you did,” Naila replied emotionally. “And that is why my heart got attached to you. The attachment developed into love. I love you, my Mine.” “I love you too, my darling. You can’t imagine the extent. Dear Naila, thank you for marrying me. I’ll cherish and love you forever,” he said and kissed her.
Reaching Their Destination
The air hostess announced that the flight had come to an end. Passengers took turns to alight, and Jabir and his wife held hands as they left the plane. They got their luggage and booked a ride to their hotel. They completed their journey just a few minutes before Maghrib.
A Blissful Honeymoon
In their hotel room, they prayed Maghrib and Ishai together. After the prayer, they did their evening adhkar. Jabir wanted to order food, but Naila said she wasn’t hungry. “Are you sure?” he pestered. “Yes, I’m sure. I’m not hungry,” she shook her head. “Okay, if you’re not hungry, then I’m not hungry too,” he said, moving closer to her. They consummated their marriage pleasurably.
Creating Beautiful Memories
They enjoyed their getaway for the next seven days. The tourist center had many beautiful sights. They enjoyed sightseeing, delicious foods, and diverse cultures. They even ventured into the town to create more memories. Jabir got things for his first wife, showing his thoughtfulness.
Staying Connected
While in Port Harcourt, Jabir made sure he also reached out to Amirah every day to ask how she was faring. Amirah also reached out to him every day and almost every hour, including odd hours. He wasn’t angry, and neither was Naila. She knew what she had signed up for.
Heartfelt Conversations
The night before their departure from Port Harcourt, the couple chatted warmly into the night. “I’m going to miss you so much,” Naila said as she held onto his arm. “I’ll miss you too. But then, I’ll be with you in five days again,” he replied, kissing her cheek.
Thoughtful Considerations
“Are you sure you’ll be comfortable with the 5-day sharing? Won’t you be stressed out too much? I’m thinking you should make the sharing seven days,” Naila suggested. “Ain’t you the one saying you’re going to miss me now? Why are you suggesting seven days again when five days will get us back together faster?”
A Thoughtful Gesture
“Awwwwwww!” He hugged her. “Thank you so much for watching out for me. You’re such a thoughtful damsel. I love you.”
